The Montclair Art Museum (MAM) explores the forefront of the merger of art and cool technology with an exhibit featuring artists working in digital, video, sound, installation, photography, sculpture, drawing, and performance called: "New Media: New Forms." The exhibit is through July 2012.

The Diocese of Paterson is piloting the use of Net Texts , a free iPad app that serves up a virtual bookstore where every single textbook is also free, as part of a technology in the classroom program.

Several Central N.J.  high school robotics technology teams won top prizes during the Mid-Atlantic Robotics Region Championship at Temple University in Philadelphia. Fifty-three teams battled in the robotics competition organized by FIRST — For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.

At Malcom X Shabazz High School in Newark, an AP Physics class is using collaborative technology and white boards to enhance their learning. And it is working, says former Utah senator Robert Bennett who now focuses on education.

Student teams representing 27 N.J. high schools will compete for more than $40,000 in individual scholarships and prizes in the finals of the Panasonic Creative Design Challenge (CDC), a premier science and engineering technology competition for public and private N.J.  high school students.
